HISTORY OF SEPA
SEPA has its’ roots in the Emergency Coordinators Committee formed on March 27th, 1982. On May 3rd, 1985 the Committee became incorporated as the Saskatchewan Emergency Planners Association Incorporated.
On August 13th, 1997 the Association re-incorporated under the non-profit corporation regulations as Saskatchewan Emergency Planners Association Corporation.
The acronym SEPA is officially enshrined in the Bylaws of the Association.
The objectives of the Saskatchewan Emergency Planners Association are:
To meet these objectives the Association plans, organizes, and hosts a Conference annually with a theme which addresses each of these objectives.

- To provide a forum for the discussion and dissemination of information on matters of interest to members.
- To promote better acquaintance, understanding and cooperation in emergency planning matters of interest to members.
- To promote mutual advice and assistance in emergencies.
- To represent the interests, aims and views of the membership to other organizations and levels of government when topics relating to emergency planning, organization, or response are being discussed.
To meet these objectives the Association plans, organizes, and hosts a Conference annually with a theme which addresses each of these objectives.
On September 15, 2015 Her Honour the Honourable Vaughn Solomon Schofield Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan was pleased to receive our request for the Honourary Patronage of the Lieutenant Governor and delighted to support the Saskatchewan Emergency Planners Association during her term of office in the role of Honourary Patron.
